While riding with a mirror is a personal choice, it is recomended when riding in high traffic areas. A mirror will allow you to monitor traffic behind you without turning. It will also give you time to react if you feel you are in a dangerous situation. There are many designs available that will mount on either your handlebar, helmet or even your glasses.
